Gov. Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State on Monday assented to the state’s 2020 Appropriation Bill of N119 billion.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the budget tagged, ‘Budget of Restoration,’ was passed by the Osun House of Assembly on December 24.
Oyetola, after assenting to the bill, which was formally presented to him by the Speaker of the Assembly, Timothy Owoeye, said his administration was committed to the full implementation of the fiscal proposal.
The governor described the size of the budget as realistic, saying his government would stop at nothing to ensure it was fully implemented.
Oyetola said his government decided to prune down the size of the budget compared to the 2019 proposal, having realised the socio-economic realities and limited resources available to the state.
